By using this website or booking an appointment with Amara Imaging, you agree to use our website and services only for lawful purposes.
You must not attempt to interfere with, damage or compromise the security or operation of our website, booking systems or related services.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service where reasonably necessary.
2. Our Services
Amara Imaging provides pregnancy ultrasound services, including elective bonding ultrasound experiences and other ultrasound services described on our website.
The exact inclusions, duration and conditions of each service are displayed at the time of booking and may change from time to time.
Where a service is described as an elective or bonding ultrasound, it is intended to provide an opportunity to see and connect with your baby and does not replace medical care, diagnostic imaging or advice from your doctor, midwife or other healthcare professional.
If you have concerns about your pregnancy, symptoms or wellbeing, you should seek appropriate medical advice.
3. Ultrasound Image Quality
We aim to provide the best possible ultrasound experience and images during your appointment.
However, ultrasound image quality cannot be guaranteed.
The visibility and quality of images may be affected by factors including:
Baby’s position
Gestational age
Placental position
Amount of amniotic fluid
Maternal tissue
Baby’s movements
Other individual factors outside our control
Examples displayed on our website or social media are examples only and do not guarantee that the same type or quality of image will be achievable during every appointment.
4. Bookings
You are responsible for providing accurate and current information when making your booking.
This includes your:
Name
Phone number
Email address
Gestational age or estimated due date
Any other information reasonably requested as part of the booking process
Appointment availability is subject to change.
We reserve the right to reschedule, modify or cancel an appointment where reasonably necessary.
If we need to make a change to your booking, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the details supplied at the time of booking.
5. Arrival and Appointment Time
Please arrive at the time requested in your booking confirmation.
Arriving late may reduce the amount of time available for your appointment so that subsequent clients are not delayed.
Where you arrive too late for the appointment to reasonably proceed, we may need to reschedule your booking.
6. Preparation for Your Scan
Some scans may require preparation, including hydration or a full bladder depending on gestational age and the type of appointment.
Any preparation instructions provided in your appointment confirmation should be followed where possible.
Following preparation instructions may improve the likelihood of obtaining suitable images but does not guarantee image quality.
7. Baby Position and Rebooking
We understand that babies do not always cooperate during ultrasound appointments.
Where your baby’s position prevents us from obtaining suitable views during an eligible bonding scan, Amara Imaging may offer a complimentary rebooking in accordance with the conditions of the package you purchased.
Eligibility for a complimentary rebooking may depend on:
The service booked
Gestational age
Whether appropriate preparation instructions were followed
Whether reasonable attempts were made during the original appointment
The specific rebooking conditions displayed for your package
A complimentary rebooking does not guarantee that particular images will be achievable at the subsequent appointment.
8. Gender Determination
Where gender determination or confirmation is included in a service, we will make reasonable efforts to identify the baby’s gender when appropriate and where visibility allows.
Gender determination by ultrasound cannot be guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
Factors including gestational age and baby’s position may affect visibility.
Where gender cannot be confidently visualised, we may recommend returning at another time depending on the terms of the service booked.
9. Prices and Services
Prices, packages, inclusions, promotions and services may change from time to time.
The price displayed when you complete your booking will generally apply to that booking unless there has been an obvious pricing or website error.
We reserve the right to correct pricing, service descriptions or other errors displayed on our website.
Promotional offers may have additional conditions, expiry dates or eligibility requirements.
10. Payments
Where payment is required, you agree to provide accurate payment information.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
Amara Imaging does not directly control the security systems or terms of third-party payment platforms.
11. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds
Bookings are subject to Amara Imaging’s cancellation, rescheduling and refund policies.
Please review any cancellation conditions displayed when booking your appointment.
Where notice requirements apply, cancellation or rescheduling outside those requirements may result in a fee or loss of payment where permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Children and Guests
Children and family members are welcome where permitted for the appointment booked.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Amara Imaging staff cannot be responsible for supervising children during appointments.
We may ask guests to leave the scanning room if their behaviour interferes with the appointment, equipment, safety or experience of other clients.
13. Photography and Recording
Photography, video recording or phone use during an appointment may be restricted.
Please follow the instructions of your sonographer regarding photography, recording, video calls and mobile phone use in the scanning room.
Where video calling is permitted, it should not interfere with the scan.
14. Digital Images and Videos
Where your package includes digital images or video clips, these may be supplied electronically through a third-party gallery, download link, messaging service or other digital platform.
You are responsible for downloading and securely storing your files after they are delivered.
We cannot guarantee indefinite storage or future availability of client images or videos unless specifically stated.
15. Printed Images and Keepsakes
Where printed images, photo strips, heartbeat recordings or other keepsakes are included or purchased, minor variations may occur in appearance, print quality, colour, size or presentation.
Keepsake products are intended for personal use.
16. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure information published on our website is accurate and current.
However, information may occasionally contain errors, omissions or outdated details.
We reserve the right to correct or update information at any time.
